“Helvetica”

Reflection

The movie, “Helvetica”, is a educational movie, which talks about the font “Helvetica”, and there are many small interveiw clips in the movie to show the historical development and the typographer’s thoughts about it.

In my opinion, I think this movie is not bad, although some of the parts are a little bit boring, but it’s very educational, and also I know another good font which I can use. I never heard of this font, although a lot of things use it, like McDonald. I’ve also learned that not everyone like this font, although it’s very readable, clean, neutral. In my own opinion, I also don’t really like thiese kind of font, too clean, and very “traditional”.

Gapminder World Chart 2006 is a graph which shows the link between health(Children dying before age 5 per 1000 live births) and money (Gross National Income per capita, in US dollar, exchange rate), I think this  graph is very nice and interesting, because it shows the relationship between health and money, also it shows the population of each country by showing the sizes of the circle.
